dior:

there's nothing better during fashion week than karlie kloss as an equestrian draped in dior:

viktor and rolf:

fall/winter 2010: the glamour factory: v&r built and tore down their girls on stage...  gone was the pop of the spring collection and led to an all black quite wearable collection.  but all black? there goes your vogue editorials.
"this time around, we want to show that something can be both wearable and extreme at the same time. It goes beyond a mere idea; it is literally ready for production."-snoeren

saskia diez + stefan diez:

paper bags: ultra lightweight, super strong and water-resistant ty-vek.  "the papier collection" is a collaboration between award-winning, high-end jewelery designer saskia diez and her equally creative husband, industrial and product designer stefan diez...  simple and completely recyclable.

damir doma: silent

erwin olaf:

“hotel, dawn & dusk” at hasted hunt kraeutler in nyc.  from one of our favorite artists... running until march 20th.  make your way, you'll thank us.

lanvin:

fall/winter 2010: lanvin lanvin lavin.  think about a storm cloud approaching with great ferocity, a tribal beat and a night in new york...  and only in the way alber elbaz can do it.  a perfect collection for the lanvin woman, our favorite yet from paris.

pedro lourenço:

fall/winter 2010:  for his paris debut this 19yr old brazilian came out swinging... or better yet came out with an edited and perfectly directional collection that rivals his other 'big-house' competitions (ie- balenciaga, pugh and co...) this boy is all about his craft, leather cuts and intricately placed details and finishing that is making us excited to see where this boy goes... and with a debut collection in "that salon" and a front row in comparison to balmain...  parabĂ©ns pedro.

manish arora:

fall/winter 2010: knows embroidery like no other... sequins and crystals galore.  but there is something thats a little magical about all the over done pop.  'bollywood' maybe a little bit more futuristic dollywood.

balmain:

fall/winter 2010:  liberace is back and in the body of christophe decarnin.  when others are reigning in their collections for a better market appeal and safe sales year, balmain took the little black gold dress to the next level.  insane shimmer, baroque-no-joke embroidery and enough sequins and lamĂ© to make a 1980's vegas show-girl blush.  yet all in all of the excess... we love it.

dries van noten:

fall/winter 2010: move over dvf...  dvn has beaten you down with his prints for the fall season...  a perfect collection for the woman who wants nothing more than to look lovely in every facet of her life... casual, chic and perfectly undone.

gareth pugh:

fall/winter 2010:  gareth stepped up his market appeal.  still are the futuristic chevrons in leather and neoprene and the frank gehry folds and jacket shapes.  but hello to a new softer side of pugh...  where wool trenches and obi belts define waists and a-lines flutter in the wind.  we love pugh.
